Hybrid Sled Glider
A retrofit glider intended to reduce carpet bunching and catching at the leading edge of a hybrid fitness sled.
Why this project exists
Niklas Bruckner regularly trains for hybrid fitness events. He noticed that carpet can bunch in front of a sled or catch under its leading edge, making the movement inconsistent.
Niklas and I developed a small retrofit part that works like the bow of an icebreaker: it creates a smoother transition between sled and carpet. Niklas tested the parts on his own equipment over several weeks.
Will it fit your sled?
The glider was designed around hybrid fitness sleds matching the geometry below. Compare the stated dimensions with your sled before printing or installing it.
Important: Small differences in construction, wear or manufacturing can affect the fit.
Download and test it
The ZIP contains one left and one right STL model. Print it, test it and judge the result yourself. Feedback from different training environments is welcome.

The Hybrid Sled Glider is an independently developed, experimental retrofit concept. It is not an officially approved competition component and is not sponsored, endorsed or approved by an event organiser or equipment manufacturer. Surface, sled, wear, print material and installation affect its behaviour.
